Our story
Freshly born in 2022, TAIYO is a French brand inspired by streetwear, sneakers and all the culture that comes with it.
In the headwear business for several years now and often frustrated by not finding certain trends on our favorite brands' caps, we thought: why not us?
Aware that it's time to change our way of consuming, it was imperative for us to join the useful to the pleasant. TAIYO would be an eco-responsible street headwear brand in line with our values.
We wish to create a more sustainable and responsible fashion, while offering trendy products.
HOW WE SEE THINGS
We don't pretend to revolutionize the world of headwear either. We simply try to bring our vision and our touch of creativity through prints or color combos that we carefully select.
We are also very attentive to the shapes of our products as well as to the materials we use in order to offer quality products.
HOW WE WANT TO MAKE THEM
We can't change the past, but we can work for a better future.
If you are asked if it is important to act for the planet, we are sure you will answer yes with great conviction. And just like you, we are convinced that we must humbly make a contribution and that there is still time to act.
All of our products are made entirely or partially from recycled materials (excluding trimmings). We have opted for rPET, a material made from recycled plastic bottles, or organic cotton to replace traditional cotton or polyester in the composition of our products.
Our approach continues when we ship your orders. The supplies we use (cardboard, scotch tape, tissue paper...) are also made of recycled and recyclable or bio-sourced materials.
We are also a member of the 1% for the Planet collective and we commit ourselves to donate 1% of our turnover to associations fighting for the protection of the environment.
NO SUCH THING BETWEEN US
So why do we make our caps in Asia?
We would have loved to offer you caps made in Europe or even better made in France.
Besides the fact that we wanted to offer products at an affordable price, our attempts were unsuccessful. We resigned ourselves to the fact that Reblochon cheese is made in Savoie and that the know-how of cap manufacturing is in Asia. And as we said, we are very attentive to the quality of the shape of our products.
But we are proud to offer you the Kymaé beanie model, made in France with recycled wool also from France and with a patch sewn by Denise here in Etaux. Well we know we do a little bit but it's worth it.
